SDS-D-128 Submersible Solar Pump - Pumps to 70m of Head and 5 to 7 litres per minute

SunPumps SDS-D series submersible pumps are one of the highest quality, low votage DC pumps on the market. They were the first diaphragm submersible introduced to the solar industry in 1988 and have an excellent performance record.   The SDS series pumps are easy to install by hand without any special equipment. We can simply supply the pump in a box or, we prefer to supply the complete system.   Note:    The depth capabilities of the SDS-D-128 has been expanded from 115 feet to 230 feet starting in June 2005.   It now has the same depth rating as our SDS-D-228 but with a higher flow rate.

  • Outside diameter is 96mm so it fits inside a straight 4" bore casing,
  • Weight of pump is 6.4 kg so it is easy to install,
  • Height of the pump is only 273mm so it will pump from very shallow water levels,
  • Maximum immersion below water level is 15m,
  • Materials are 304 stainless steel and marine grade bronze,
  • Operates using any 24v DC solar panel of the correct wattage,
  • Positive displacement diaphragm type pumps,

SunPumps SDS-Q series submersible pumps are one of the most highest quality, low votage DC pumps on the market. They were introduced to the solar industry in 1990 and have an excellent performance record.    The SDS series pumps are easy to install by hand without any special equipment. The pump includes a double shrink splice kit and a 3/4" brass discharge fitting.   The SDS-Q-135 is a 15 to 19 litre per minute pump with a 30m maximum head.

  • Outside diameter is 114mm so it fits inside a straight 5" bore casing,
  • Weight of pump is 7.9 kg so it is easy to install,
  • Height of the pump is only 311mm so it will pump from very shallow water levels,

Sun Pumps PCA-30-MID Automatic Controller for Solar Submersible Sun Pumps

Sunpumps PCA series pump controllers are high quality, micro-processor contolled DC power converters designed as the interface between a DC powered pump and the power source. The main purpose of a PC series controller is to maximize the total daily water delivery while providing protection for the pump as well as the power source.    One of the features of a pump controller is to boost the current of solar modules in low sunlight conditions while holding the voltage of the solar modules around the maxmimum power point.   This allows a pump to start earlier in the morning and stay running longer in the evening which in turn provides more water. 

All PCA-30 series controllers include:

  • a pump speed control circuit to reduce pump speed for low flow bores,
  • a remote switch circuit to provide on/off control via water level in the tank,
  • a sensor-less low water cut-off circuit,
  • an electronic circuit breaker and indicator lights,
  • nylon cable glands,

SunPumps PCA 30-M1D controller uses the same controller board with all the same features as the PCA 30-M1 controller.   The only difference is the box is constructed of UV stablized Super Tuff Delrin instead of aluminum and the current rating is reduce from 8 amps to 6 amps.   All solar submersible sun pumps must be installed with a PCA-30-MID controller.
